The litigation experience
of Joyce, Meredith, Flitcroft, and Normand in litigation dates back over
50 years to the founder of the firm, the Honorable Frank Wilson. Judge
Wilson started the Firm in the late 1940's and he was later appointed to
the Federal Bench for the Eastern District of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Judge Wilson was later assisted and succeeded by litigators, Eugene L.
Joyce and the Honorable E. Riley Anderson (now a Justice of the
Tennessee Supreme Court), W. Clark Meredith and James T. Normand who
continue the tradition of excellence in litigation. The firm has
maintained an AV rating by Martindale-Hubble which continues to attest
to the firm's reputation among the legal community. The firm has
handled numerous complex and simple litigation matters. Cuerently W.
Clark Meredith is the Senior Litigator with over 35 years of experience,
and James T. Normand practices as the firm's general litigator with 14
years of experience.
W. Clark Meredith: born in Alcoa, Tennessee on March 6, 1942. He was admitted to the Georgia bar in 1966 and the Tennessee bar in 1967; and is currently a member of the Anderson County (President, 1970) and the Tennessee Bar Associations as well as the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Meredith was educated at both the University of Tennessee and Emory University; where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. Mr. Meredith served as an Oak Ridge Charter Commissioner in 1974. Mr. Meredith has been an active litigator for 32 years and holds membership in the TTLA and the association of TL of A. He is also the Managing Partner of Joyce, Meredith, Flitcroft, and Normand, and senior trial attorney. Normand: born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on March 21,
1962. He was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 1987; and is currently a
member of the Anderson County, Tennessee and American Bar Associations,
Tennessee Trial lawyers Associations and The Association of Trial
lawyers of America and formerly a member of the National Association of
Accountants. Mr. Normand served as President of the Anderson County Bar
Association from 1998-1999. He graduated from East Tennessee State
University Cum Laude, in 1984 and the University of Tennessee, College
of Law in 1987. He was a member of Gamma Beta Phi Legal Honor Society
and Phi Alpha Delta. As well as making contributions to the legal
society, Mr Normand is Officer and Board Member of the Boys Club of Oak
Ridge. Mr. Normand is also active in the American Heart Association, the
Rotary Club, the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association,
and several other organizations. The firm is rated AV by Martindale-Hubble and is listed in the Bar Registry of Select Law Firms in the Country.
